Clinicians
We offer several services
for therapists. Individual consultations, consultation
groups, clinical trainings, individual therapy and support
for interns.
Just starting your private
practice? Sublet one of offices and
receive training on the steps to take in getting your
practice up and running!
We enjoy being part of a
collaborative therapeutic team. When you are working
with clients who's children might benefit
from play therapy, or you might feel that your client
would make important progress if they had a
few family sessions in conjunction with the individual
work you are already doing... we would welcome the
opportunity of working with you as part of the clinical
team. For a case example of how this
collaboration might look, read our published
article "Playing With
Your Clients".
If you
are interested in play therapy, check out some of our other
clinical articles published for play
therapists.

Individual Therapy for Clinicians . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . Its so important
for professional listeners to be listened to as
well! Keep track of the potential for compassion fatigue
setting in by revitalizing a bit and attend to your own
personal and professional needs. Plus it always helps
to actually do some of the things we encourage our
clients to do.
Interns . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
 For interns, receiving your own
individual therapy helps on multiple levels.
Process the many transitions and feelings associated with
becoming a therapist. Plus it adds a valuable
extra 300 contact hours toward the process of obtaining your
license. Form a deeper understanding of the many
challenges and hesitations that some of your clients might
have by sitting in their chair for awhile.
Some of
our play therapy trainings might be of interest to you since
many agencies require that you work with child
clients. These trainings, as well as our consultation
groups, help fill in a few of the missing
pieces regarding play therapy techniques and theory so
you can use these new skills in working with families and
children. Another benefit of our group or individual
consultations is that they allow more time for in-depth
discussions than supervision usually
allows.
